The Nutrition and Dietetics curriculum emphasizes on the study and application of concepts of food in food management, promotion of health through initiatives of healthy food and food replacement, good health and diet, better quality of life, dietary modifications, and the close link between the human body and food. It is an interdisciplinary science and involves modules that promote wellness, good health, stress-free living, and detoxification.
The Chemistry curriculum emphasizes on the theory and practical aspects of the fundamentals of chemistry and includes theories and concepts of atomic structure, chemical bonding, thermodynamics, coordination chemistry, quantum mechanics, spectroscopy, and chemical analysis. Important topics include general and physical chemistry, inorganic and organic chemistry, biochemistry, electrochemistry, structure and function of polymers, and chemistry of synthetic drugs.
The Zoology curriculum focuses on evolution, animal behavior, animal classification, theories about the animal kingdom, and the interaction of animals with the environment. It covers subjects related to biosystematics, structure and functions of invertebrates, tools and techniques in biology, animal physiology and ethology, physiology, genetics and evolution, structure and function of vertebrates, and environmental biology.
