The Biochemistry curriculum emphasizes on the study of chemical processes at the molecular level that occur within living systems. It explains simple life processes based on cellular components like proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, chromosomes, and organelles. Candidates will have diverse knowledge about the characteristics and properties of subjects related to chemistry, genetics, and biology and their applications in microbiology, forensics, plant science, and medicine after successful completion of the course.
The Microbiology curriculum emphasizes on the study of the living system and its relationship with the outside environment. It covers subjects related to bacteriology, mycology, virology, general microbiology, biochemistry, genetics, medical, agricultural, industrial, food, dairy microbiology; immunology, molecular biology, genetic engineering, bioinformatics, biophysics, and space microbiology.
