The extensive course curriculum emphasizes on the technical and practical aspects of the design and manufacture of medicines. The candidates are provided a strong foundation in the latest methods of production of medicines, drug delivery, diagnosis and treatment of diseases, monitoring of patients and clinical research strategies. It is an interdisciplinary subject involving the application of chemistry, biology and technology. Topics included in the course are human anatomy and physiology, organic and inorganic chemistry, biochemistry, pathophysiology, pharmacology, pharmacotherapeutics, analysis and formulation, research methodology, pharmacokinetics, toxicology, Pharmacoeconomics, drug monitoring and pharmacoepidemiology.
What will Pharm.D students’ study?
Candidates will have diverse knowledge about the constitution of medicines, positive and negative effect on the human body, laboratory testing and research of novel medications and drug monitoring and control.
