Candidates seeking admission to MD should mandatorily qualify NEET-PG Exam. The NEET qualified students are required to undergo two types of counselling. 1.The students seeking admission to medical colleges affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) should undergo the counselling conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). 2.The students seeking admission to deemed universities should undergo counselling conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). |
MD Paediatrics (Doctor of Medicine in Paediatrics)
The MBBS Students who join the Paediatrics specialisation are typically known as MD Paediatric doctors. As a MD Paediatric doctor, one is responsible to keep the children healthy by regularly checking their growth and development. They help prevent diseases in children by giving the vaccinations and general health advice. Paediatrician is one who works as a primary care physician to provide treatment for the growing children. They are also required to diagnose and treat a wide range of general health conditions, give vaccinations and offer appropriate health advice to young children and their parents or caregivers.
The Paediatricians are doctors who basically handle medical conditions affecting infants, children and young people. They can be divided into 4 main areas they are:
