M Pharm Pharmaceutical Analysis (Master of Pharmacy in Pharmaceutical Analysis)
The course curriculum emphasizes on the technical and practical aspects of drug development that focuses on structure analysis, composition, physical and chemical properties, qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis, purification, separation and instruments and methods of analysis. The candidates are provided a strong foundation in organic and inorganic chemistry. It is an interdisciplinary subject involving the application of chemistry, biology and technology in the study of pharmaceutical drugs, their structure, properties, reactions, manufacture, safety, handling and validation. Important regulatory guidelines like CMPs regulations, ISO, Six Sigma, FDA Approval,and ICH Quality Guidelines are also covered in the course. Topics included in the course are pharmaceutical analytical techniques, drug analysis, quality control and analytics of cosmetics, additives, preservatives and food. Skills like analytical reasoning, presentation, computers, team work, strategic planning, decision-making, problem-solving and entrepreneurship are enhanced through dissertations, projects, internships and viva voce included in this course.
