BVA (Bachelor of Visual Arts)

The Bachelor of Visual Arts is a three-year full-time degree in which students major in any one of the disciplines offered by the School's Workshops. Bachelor of Arts (BVA) in Visual Arts offer unique opportunities to investigate an array of courses in art history, animation, interactive forms, film, graphic design, photography, video, print media and foundation. The course is available in six disciplinary majors. You may choose to major in Painting, Photomedia, Screen Arts, Sculpture (including ceramics and glass), Printmedia or Jewellery and Object. You may also complete a second major in Critical Studies. Each major is underpinned by the teaching of rigorous theory and critical skills.
The course emphasizes on the advanced concepts, modules and creative skills involved in transforming ideas, thoughts, drawings, or models into visual objects like web pages, packaging, books and magazines. Candidates are trained in effective and attractive presentation which requires basic skills like creativity, innovation and imagination. Topics like design orientation, merchandising, digital marketing and prototyping, market research, organizational behavior, buying and merchandising, E-commerce and M-commerce, data synthesis and interpretation, entrepreneurship and financial management are included in the course. Candidates will have diverse knowledge about the creation of graphic content and material, production and presentation of results. Skills like art, creativity, decision-making, innovation and imagination are enhanced through this course. This subject has multiple opportunities in the media, print and entertainment domain and candidates will be trained to work as independent contributors in their respective field.

Eligibility

Pass in 10+2 / Higher Secondary (HS) / Pre University (PUC) / 'A' Level (with 12 years of schooling) or its equivalent with English as one of the languages. Shall have secured a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in Core subjects.

Fees

Merit Quota: Rs. 15,000 to Rs 30,000 per annum
Management Quota: Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 1,00,000 per annum
