Professor

As a professor one is responsible to teach a subject thoroughly to the students and according to the prescribed syllabus. They are required to teach in such a way that by engaging them and preparing them for the future.

Role of the Professor

As a professor one is responsible to support, observe and record progress of students. They are responsible to plan lessons in line with the syllabus with an aim of ensuring a healthy culture of learning.

Responsibilities of a Professor

As a Professor one is needed to:

  • Prepare and deliver lessons to a range of classes according to the prescribed syllabus
  • Mark work, give appropriate feedback and maintain records of students, progress and development
  • Research new topic areas, maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge and devise and write new curriculum materials
  • Select and use a range of different learning resources and equipment, including podcasts and interactive whiteboards
  • Prepare the students for qualifications and external examinations
  • Manage student’s behaviour in the classroom and on school premises and apply appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehaviour
  • Undertake pastoral duties, such as taking on the role of form tutor and supporting students on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties
  • Communicate with parents about the students’ progress and participate in departmental meetings, parents' meetings and training events
  • Coordinate with other professionals, such as learning mentors, careers advisers, educational psychologists and education welfare officers
  • Supervise and support the work of teaching assistants, trainee teachers and newly qualified teachers
  • Participate in and organise extracurricular activities, such as outings, social activities and sporting events for students
  • Undergo regular observations and participate in regular in-service training as part of continuing professional development

Salary and Emoluments

A fresh MA Education Leadership and Management student will be earning around 3 lakhs to 5 lakhs per annum as a Professor. The experienced professors will be earning around 6 lakhs to 10 lakhs per annum. The salary depends on the location and recruiter.

English and Foreign language Teacher

The English as a foreign language teacher basically help the adults and children to learn or improve their English to communicate in other countries

Role of the English and Foreign Language Teacher

As an EFL teacher, one is responsible to use a range of course books and materials, plus a variety of audio-visual aids, to encourage students to communicate with each other using the structures and vocabulary they've learnt and to improve the four basic language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Responsibilities of an English and Foreign Language Teacher

As an English and foreign language teacher one is responsible to:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver lessons to a range of classes and age groups
  • Prepare and set tests, examination papers and exercises
  • Mark and provide appropriate feedback on oral and written work
  • Devise, write and produce new materials, including audio and visual resources
  • Organise and get involved in social and cultural activities such as sports competitions, college excursions and dinners
  • Attend and contribute to training sessions
  • Participate in marketing events for the language school
  • Prepare information for inspection visits and other quality assurance exercises
  • Undertake administrative tasks, such as keeping student registers and attendance records.

Salary and Emoluments

A fresh MA Educational Leadership and Management student will be earning around 4 lakhs to 6 lakhs per annum. As an experienced English and foreign language teacher, one will be earning around 6 lakhs to 8 lakhs per annum. The salary depends on the location and recruiter.

Special Educational Needs Coordinator

Special Educational Needs Coordinator basically work to raise educational achievement by leading and coordinating provision for children who require special educational needs.

Role of a Special Educational Needs Coordinator

As a Special educational needs coordinator, one will be responsible to support the children with special educational needs. They are required to work closely with the head teacher and other senior colleagues and help the children with special needs. They are responsible to use their leadership skills to manage provision in the school and provide support to other teachers.

Responsibilities of a Special Educational Needs Coordinator

As a Special Educational Needs Coordinator, one is responsible to:

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of the school’s special educational needs and policy
  • Carry out assessments of children and identify the needs and monitor their progress- including observations in the classroom and meeting with teachers and parents
  • Work with classroom teachers, the school leadership team, parents and relevant external agencies to develop, implement and monitor individual support plans.
  • Provide regular updates on child’s progress through written reports and meetings with parents
  • Make referrals and coordinate with professionals outside of the school- this could include psychologists, health and social care providers, speech and language therapists and occupational therapists
  • Provide advice, guidance and training to classroom teachers on supporting children with special educational needs
  • Support teachers to develop and implement effective teaching and behaviour management approaches in the classroom
  • Manage and advice on the school budget and resources for special educational provisions
  • Develop school, local and national data and develop appropriate strategies and interventions
  • Keep up to date with national and local policies related to special educational needs and cascade information to fellow colleagues.

Salary and Emoluments

The Fresh MA Educational Leadership and Management post graduates will earn nearly around 4 lakhs to 6 lakhs as special educational needs coordinators. The Experienced professionals will easily earn about 7 lakhs to 9 lakhs per annum

Education Administrator

The education administrator is responsible for smooth running of a university, college or a school. They are responsible to take care of the administrative affairs and are responsible to work towards improvement of the education.

Role of the Educational Administrator

The education administrator is to manage the administration, support systems and activities that keep an educational institution running smoothly. As an educational administrator one is responsible to work in areas such as admissions, quality assurance, data management and examination.

Responsibilities of an Educational Administrator

As an educational administrator one is responsible to:

  • Provide administrative support to a team of lecturers, tutors or teachers
  • Manage the student lifecycle from registration/admission to graduation leaving
  • Work with academic boards, governing bodies and task groups
  • Assist with recruitment, public or alumni, relations and marketing activities
  • Draft and interpret regulations
  • Deal with queries and complaints procedures
  • Coordinate examination and assessment processes
  • Maintain high levels of quality assurance, including course evaluation and course approval procedures
  • Use information systems and prepare reports and statistics for both internal and external use
  • Participate in the development of future information systems
  • Contribute to policy and planning
  • Manage budgets and ensure financial systems are followed
  • Communicate with partner institutions, other institutions, external agencies government departments and prospective students
  • Organise and facilitate a variety of educational or social activities
