Selection Process For MBA

MBA or Management of Business Administration is a two-year programme and one of the most popular courses in India and abroad. It opens up a plethora of jobs opportunities in the managerial level and the corporate world. Students coming for any background such as in science, commerce or humanities can go on to do an MBA. It is a regular two-year course, with six semesters, although some private institutions have one-year PDGM programmes. MBA includes theory classes, internships, practical projects, campus selections, etc. The eligibility for MBA is under graduation from in any discipline in a recognized college with a minimum of 50%. Some institutions have entrance exams after under graduation.

Registration For MBA Exam-

The admissions for an MBA, in top colleges, are open in August and September, the first week for these two months and closes at November last week. The eligibility for applying is that there needs to be under graduation done in a recognized university. Students can choose to go to whichever course they want to take up an MBA. If you are looking to get into top colleges, then you should apply to relevant MBA exams such as CAT/SNAP/XAT/NMAT/IIFT within the deadline for registration. Most MBA exams close registration in September and November. Registering as quickly as possible is crucial.

MBA Entrance Exam And Shortlisting-

If students want to pursue an MBA, they need to appear for specific exam, mostly these exams will be held in November and January depending on the colleges, Common Admission Exam and XAT, will be conducted accordingly, students can write these exams and top if they want to get into the top universities for pursuing MBA. After the results, the top universities will shortlist the candidates for their final admission round. This is based on academics, exam scores, work experience, diversity, and weight depending on the previous colleges and the universities admission policy. 

Admission Process Through GD, PI

After the shortlisting of the candidates, all the students that are shortlisted, need to appear to the Group Discussion and the Written Ability test and a personal interview. Depending on particular institutions, they hold admission test, some also conduct, group discussion and extempore before the personal meeting, and few conduct a psychometric test. The final merit is based on all of the performances in the exams, final selection round, work experience diversity, personal interviews, considering the weight; the admission will be made. Since a lot of students aim for the top university, the competition among students will be high to get acceptance from individual universities.
