The Rajarajeswari medical college is based in Karnataka. It is one of the best medical colleges in the state of Karnataka. The college has been accredited the grade A by NAAC. It is also recognized by the medical council of India. The college was established when Sri A.C Shanmugam created the Moogambigai Charitable Trust, that was meant for establishing education institutes to make learning an enjoyable experience for the students.

The college offers various courses ranging from undergraduate courses to postgraduate courses. The college is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, and hence all the courses are offered under the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. MBBS course at the Rajarajeswari medical college

The college offers MBBS course of 5 years and 6 months. It is a fulltime course, which is conducted on the campus. There is no part-time MBBS courses. The intake capacity for this course is 150 students. The course involves a compulsory internship program that is to take place at a training institute which is recognized by the medical council of India. The course fee for the first year is Rs.109,800, and for the rest 4 years, it is Rs.109,300 per year, so the total amounts to Rs. 547,000.

Eligibility criteria for admission to MBBS course

In order to get admission to the MBBS course in the Rajarajeswari medical college, you need to pass the P.U.C or an equivalent 10+2 level which is recognized by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences with physics, biology, and chemistry. For general students, they need to achieve 50% marks in the physics, chemistry, and biology and for the students belonging to the Scheduled Caste, the university has not allowed any relaxation in marks. In addition to that, you will have to clear the NEET examination and achieve a good score to be eligible for admission to the course. The college also accepts other competitive exam scores like COMEDK, AIET, CET ad AMPCK. The student is required to achieve 50% marks in any of these competitive exams in order to seek admission to the MBBS course.

For students that reside outside Karnataka, they will be required to produce the eligibility certificate from the Raji Gandhi University of Health Sciences. Please make sure that you collect the eligibility certificate before the admission date; otherwise, your admission form will not be accepted even though you have cleared all the examinations. For candidates that belong to the minority group, they will be required to produce their Tulu speaking certificate at the time of admission.

Age limit

No one less than 17 years of age, is allowed to take admission to the MBBS course. This is as per the rules of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
