How to Apply for NEET - UG?
Candidates can apply for NEET - UG by logging on to www.ntaneet.nic.in.
After the first year of course an internship is a must for full time students, and a dissertation or major project is a degree requirement after the completion of course work. A comprehensive exit - examination, either a common test for many institutions or in-house tests conducted by institutions, is an integral part of MBA/PGDM/PG program.
The 4 important steps in online application are:
- Note down the application number after filling the application form
- Upload photo and signature in prescribed format and size
- Remit fee in prescribed modes
- On successful remittance of fee, generate/print the confirmation page
The candidates are advised to give only his/her own or parent’s mobile number while filling the application form. The OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number only. And all other information and communication will be done by NTA through the registered mobile number and e-mail ID. Only one application can be filled in with one mobile number and e-mail ID. A candidate can submit only one application form. The candidates who submit more than one application will be disqualified.
The application submission and correction of entries can be done only through the online option. Application form and fee can be submitted normally from November 1 to November 30, up to 23.50 hours (IST) on the 30th. The online correction of application can be done from January 14 to January 31. The candidates are required to upload their photograph and signature along with the online application form. The scanned image of photograph and signature should be in JPG/JPEG format and between 10kb and 200kb for photograph and 4kb and 30 kb for signature.
The Admit Card, Result, Mark cum Rank Sheet and Rank Letter can be downloaded from the NTA website. The relevant dates and other information will be notified by NTA in its website only. So visit the NEET - UG website of NTA as and when required. These documents are also available at www.digilocker.gov.in -

How much is the Application Fee for NEET - UG?
For unreserved (UR) and OBC (NCL) categories the fee is Rs. 1400/- and for Reserved categories, SC/ST/PwD/Transgender, the fee is Rs. 750/-. The fee can be remitted by credit card/debit card, net banking, UPI, or e Chelan from State Bank of India.

Can NRIs apply for NEET - UG?
Yes NRIs can apply for NEET. The admission of Non Resident Indians to Medical Colleges in India and abroad is strictly on NEET qualification. The NRI candidates are eligible for 15% All India Quota seats as well. The fee structure and reservation of NRI candidates are similar to Citizens of India. The admission decision of NRIs, Overseas Citizens of India, Persons of Indian Origin and Foreign Nationals is subject to rules and regulations framed by the respective State Governments, Institutions and Government of India. -
Can I apply for NEET-UG to improve my score while doing BDS?
Yes you can apply for NEET any number of times to try for better courses in medicine. There is no restriction on the number of attempts by the candidates. -

Yes, Non Resident Indians (NRIs) are eligible for 15% All India Quota Seats. -
Can Jammu & Kashmir candidates claim 15% All India Quota seats in NEET - UG?
Candidates from Jammu &Kashmir are not eligible to 15% All India Quota seats. However if they claim eligibility they must submit online self declaration, disclaiming their home state seats, which will be generated and printed automatically with confirmation page. The J & K candidates should present the printed copy of self declaration at the time of counselling to claim the quota. -
Is NEET - UG only for MBBS and BDS seats?
No. MBBS, BDS and all AYUSH courses (BAMS, BNYS, BUMS, BSMS and BHMS) require NEET - UG. -

How to ensure that the online application of NEET - UG is submitted successfully?

Is the NEET exam online?
No. NEET is an offline pen & paper test. The entrance test is of 3 hours duration and in single stage. -
When will the Result of NEET - UG be published?

Can private candidates and the candidates who pass 10+2 from open school apply for NEET - UG?
Yes. Private candidates and those from open school can apply for NEET. It is a new provision from 2019 onwards. -
Can the NEET result be re-checked/re-evaluated?
No. the NEET result is final and cannot be re-evaluated. The decision of NTA is unquestionable in matters of conducting the exam and result publishing. -
What is the consequence of malpractice and unfair means (UFM) at the NEET examination hall?
Any malpractice or unfair means (UFM) by the candidate in the exam hall would result in 3 years of debarring and/or criminal action whichever is applicable. -
Can Students who passed 10+2 with biology not as a regular subject appear in NEET - UG?
Yes. From 2019 onwards the candidates who studied Biology not as regular subject at 10+2 can apply for NEET - UG. -
Who are eligible for 15% All India Quota seats?
Indian Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Foreign Nationals are eligible for 15% All India Quota Seats. -
What is the condition for J&K students to claim 15% all India quota seats in NEET - UG?
Candidates from Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible for 15% All India Quota seats, because they have special state quota seats. However if they claim eligibility to all India seats, they must submit a self declaration, disclaiming their home state seats, which will be generated and printed automatically with application confirmation page. The J & K candidates should present the printed copy of self declaration at the time of counselling to claim the All India Quota Seats. False claims would result in cancellation of candidature and criminal proceedings. -
Is there any limitation for the number of attempts for NEET - UG?
There is no restriction on the chances available to candidates. Students can appear for NEET any number of times. -
What is the minimum mark at 10+2 for the SC/ST/OBC and PwD category students to apply for NEET - UG?
The minimum of marks required by SC/ST/ OBC is 40% and Persons with Disability (PwD) should secure 45% of marks to qualify for NEET UG. -
What is the dress code for NEET UG?
Full sleeve dress and shoes are not allowed in the exam hall of NEET - UG. Candidates wearing traditional dress to exam hall should report the same, one hour before the time of entry into the hall, to facilitate enough time for frisking. -

What is the required NEET score for medical admission abroad?
As the NEET-UG 2019 is round the corner the major thought that hangs around is about this year’s percentiles and cut offs. The medical aspirants across India are in the heat of preparation as NEET is compulsory for medical admission both in India & abroad.
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) is a national level entrance test for all medical seats in India. From 2019 onwards NEET is compulsory for abroad medical admissions as well.
The NEET-2019 exam date is on May 5 and the admit cards are about to be released. NEET will be conducted in a single shift from 3 pm to 6 pm. The NTA will publish the NEET 2019 cut off along with NEET result by June 5.
The official qualifying cut off percentile for NEET 2019 is:- 50 percentile for general candidates
- 40 percentile for SC/ST/OBC candidates
- 45 & 40 percentile each for PwD unreserved & reserved categories respectively.
