Entrance Exams after II PUC or Class 12th students

Choosing a course is very simple but getting into it is tough, one has to qualify the entrance exam with a good score in order to get his/her desired course and college. The entrance exams provide a level playing field for all the students and give equal opportunity to everyone to compete. 

The entrance exam is conducted to filter the serious candidates from the non-serious ones. The main purpose of conducting entrance exams is to judge the student ability, sharpness, knowledge and other traits of the students. The aptitude of the student is tested in the entrance exam. All the entrance exams follow a definite pattern, every student has to pass through different phases like written test, counselling, interview and admission confirmation.

Kinds of Entrance Exam in India

There are different kinds of entrance exams in India for different streams of study, like for technical education we have IIT/JEE, GATE, KCET, for management we have CAT, MAT, CMAT, GMAT etc, for medical we have NEET-UG, NEET-PG, NEET-BDS, NEET-MDS etc, for law we have CLAT, LSAT etc.  In some cases many colleges also conduct their own entrance exams to select the students for various courses offered by them.
