Aspiring Candidates! Get Ready for COMEDK UGET 2023 Counselling

Greetings, Aspiring Candidates!

Today, we bring you an update regarding the COMEDK counselling 2023 UGET centralised single window counselling for Engineering & Architecture courses.

Following the mandate given by the Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association (KUPECA), the COMEDK's Under Graduate Entrance Test for Engineering Courses (UGET – 2023) was successfully conducted on May 28, 2023, and the results were announced on June 10, 2023.

Now, the time has come for the COMEDK counselling 2023 process to begin, and we cordially invite all interested candidates who have qualified and obtained a rank in COMEDK UGET 2023 to register for counselling. This counselling will be conducted within 22 June.

To be eligible for counselling, you must have:

• Passed the 2nd PUC / 12th Standard examination with English as one of the languages.
• Obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science (40% for SC, ST, and OBC candidates of Karnataka State only). Please note that the relaxation in minimum academic eligibility (i.e., 40% to 45%) is applicable only to Karnataka Candidates.

For B.Arch Admission

For admission to the 1st year of the 5-year B.Arch degree course for the academic session 2023-24, the eligibility criteria set by the Council of Architecture are as follows:

1) No candidate shall be admitted to the architecture course unless they have passed an examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of examination with at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and also at least 50% marks in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination. Alternatively, candidates who have passed the 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate are also eligible.

2) NATA 2023 is the sole qualifier for admission to Architecture courses, and there is no separate entrance test.

Updated Tuition Fees for Academic Year 2023-24

It is worth noting that the tuition fee for the academic year 2023-24 has been increased by 10% compared to last year. The institutions have the option to choose between two upper limits in tuition fees, which are linked to the fees they have opted for in KCET. The two options are as follows:

1) Rs. 2,44,372/- per annum

2) Rs. 1,73,936/- per annum

During the COMEDK counselling 2023 process, they will collect the above-mentioned tuition fee, along with "Other fees" not exceeding Rs. 20,000/-. Please be aware that there is a cap on the skill lab fees that individual colleges may charge, in addition to the University fees.

We would like to emphasise that COMEDK's counselling process is conducted based on the directions issued by the Hon'ble Admission Overseeing Committee. Their communication dated August 27, 2021, outlines the process to be followed by COMEDK for conducting the counselling.
