New Covid Guidelines for all the Kerala Students visiting Karnataka

The Government of Karnataka has announced new guidelines for all the students coming from Kerala for getting admissions to colleges in Karnataka In order to curtail the spread of Covid 19 pandemic, the Government of Karnataka today announced a new set of fresh guidelines especially for the students from Kerala and Maharashtra.

Strict Guidelines to be followed for Kerala Students

  1. All the students from Kerala arriving to Karnataka in pursuance of their studies in any discipline except Nursing, Medical, Engineering, para medical etc have to strictly adhere to the Covid 19 Guidelines

  2. All the students can enter Karnataka only with RTPCR negative report of not earlier than 72 hours before entry will be compulsorily subjected to institutional quarantine of 7-days irrespective of the RT PCR test results. 

  3. After the end of 7-days of institutional quarantine, the students have to again undergo RTPCR Test with a negative result.

Note: All of the criteria mentioned will also apply to all employees in the state of Karnataka arriving from Kerala or have visited Kerala in previous 7-days before entry to Karnataka. It is the responsibility of the management employer to enforce the above  rules and guidelines strictly.

The Karnataka government has also ordered to maintain strict surveillance at the border posts setup by districts adjoining Kerala and Maharashtra States. The surveillance will be according to the Department of Health & Family Welfare Government of Karnataka.
