MD Biochemistry (Doctor of Medicine in Biochemistry)
Doctor of Medicine in Biochemistry or MD in Biochemistry is a non-clinical speciality course offered under the medical specialisation of MD courses. MD Biochemistry doctors are basically considered as Biochemists. They will be studying the application of chemistry to study the biological processes at molecular and cellular level. The course includes training in the basic instrumentation and procedures pertaining to biochemistry that are required to be practiced in the community and at all levels of health care system.

Eligibility
The candidate should be a graduate in Medicine (M.B.B.S)from any university recognised by the Medical Council of India. The candidate should have completed satisfactorily the Rotating compulsory internship of one year in an institution recognised by the Medical Council of India he candidate should have obtained permanent Registration of any State Medical Council. No candidate shall be admitted to any post graduate degree / diploma course unless the candidate has obtained and produced the eligibility certificate issued by the University.

Admission Process:
Candidates seeking admission to MD should mandatorily qualify NEET-PG Exam. The NEET qualified students are required to undergo two types of counselling.
1.The students seeking admission to medical colleges affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) should undergo the counselling conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).
2.The students seeking admission to deemed universities should undergo counselling conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
