A brief introduction to Travel and Tourism Management
Travel and tourism management refers to everything that is related to the hospitality and travel industries. The BTTM-MTTM integrated course is a 5-years duration course that is divided into 10- semesters. Eligibility for BTTM-MTTM integrated course
The students who have finished their PUC or 10+2 in any stream with 50% aggregate in all the subjects from the recognised board are eligible to apply for BTTM-MTTM integrated course.
Admission Procedures
The students can join BTTM-MTTM integrated courses by two modes of admission. The first mode is called merit-based admission and second mode is direct admission.
1. Merit Based Admission
There are many reputed colleges and universities that conduct institution-based entrance exams for BTTM-MTTM courses, such mode of admission is called merit-based admission. All the colleges have merit-seats, and the students are required to appear and qualify these entrance exams in order to get seats in merit quota. The main reason for the institution-based entrance exam is to select the serious candidates from the group of non-serious students. The fees are also nominal for merit-based admission.
2. Direct Admission
The students have another option to get admission for BTTM-MTTM integrated course by direct admission. Under this mode the students are given direct admission to their desired colleges under management quota. The main advantage of this mode of admission is that the students are given special privileges, where they are not required to apply for any entrance exams to get admission to the course. Another importance of direct admission is that the students can choose their desired colleges and book their seats in advance even before the college starts.
